So according to RadarOnline Spiderman 3 is going to be the largest costing film on record. Beating out the previous holder of the record by nearly $210 million, Cleopatra holding the previous record. Apparently since the acquisition by Sony the studio increased it’s spending a lot extra. Cutting a few chairmen because of outrageous spending.
Hopefully with the cost of Spiderman 3 topping at nearly $500 million the movie will be absolutely jaw dropping. The movie contains every ingredient to break box office records, but who knows what will happen. Sony and Columbia pictures are probably crapping there pants hoping to the high heavens that the movie will break records.
The movie is set to premiere in America on the 30th of May and in Australia on the 3rd of May. If the budget is real, I may make the trek down to IMAX to watch it, and report back. For now, have a good day
