Spiderman 3 setting more records

Filed under: Movie News — Ben @ 4:46 pm

Well just yesterday we reported that Spider-Man 3 broke records in the Asian markets, and we are happy to say that the English markets and European markets are breaking records as well.

Hollywood Reporter said

Sony said France’s $6.1 million represented the country’s biggest opening day of all time, beating “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” ($3.9 million), local blockbuster “Taxi 2″ ($4.5 million) and the combined opening day takes of Spidey 1 and 2 ($4.9 million). Germany ($4.6 million) and Japan ($3.7 million) each logged their biggest-ever Tuesday openings, while Italy ($4 million) and Korea ($3.4 million) achieved their biggest openings of all time.

To me it sounds like either A, Sony succeeded in getting the hype so crazy that the movie broke records due to so many people wanting to see it before there friends or B, Sony made a great movie and it is actually something really worth seeing. Only time will tell as more people are flocking to the cinemas as we speak, as it was released in the cinemas today in Australia.

All I gotta say is, well done Sony on setting so many damn records :p
