I realise this might be a little out of my usual movie news, but being a resident Australian I had to report this. Bad boy Snoop Dogg, who’s real name is Calvin Broadus, has just been barred from entering Australia after just being barred from United Kingdom. Apparently his visa was cancelled when he plead guilty to drug and arms charges he recieved in the United States.
“He doesn’t seem the sort of bloke we want in this country. This man has been a member of a Los Angeles gang, and is still associated with it apparently, that’s been involved in murder, robberies and drug dealing in the LA area.” Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews said of Snoop Dogg earlier this month.
Snoop Dogg pleaded guilty at a Los Angeles court early this month. Broadus was given a three year suspended sentence which spared him jail time. Instead of jail time, Calvin was given 5 years of probation and ordered to perform 800 hours of community service.
I think it is a genius movie by the Australian government as people such as Snoop Dogg are a menace to society as they think they are above the law and deserve special treatment which is utterly disgraceful. Nice work Kevin Andrews.
