Well I am one to say I am impressed with this news. The Incredibles was no doubt in the top 5 animation movies of all time, I just loved the way the characters were shown and they way the story ran. With the animation it allowed the directors to be more creative in there super powers.
So the director of The Incredibles, Brad Bird, has talked to AP about possibly doing an Incredibles sequel now that Ratatouille is out in cinemas and that is a weight off his shoulders. Here is what he had to say on the matter
I love the world. I love the characters, and if I could come with a story that was as good or better than the original, I’d go there in a second. I have pieces of things that I would love to see in a sequel, but I haven’t got them all together yet, and I certainly wouldn’t want to come out there with something that is less than the original. … Sequels are not part of the business plan at Pixar. It’s all about the filmmakers being passionate about going somewhere.
Business plan? Who cares about the business plan, I want another Incredibles. Going by Pixar’s track record they have been more than dubious about creating sequels which is understandable they can get a little outta hand (Rocky anyone?) and a possible flop is not out of the picture.
If we take that square root it by the circumference of the human scaploid bone and then take the golden ratio and multiply all that by x (the amount made by every single Pixar film doubled and divided by 3) we come to a conclusion. Brad Bird should make another Incredibles, it is as simple as that.
