Well, this is a new one. According to some Japanese movie goers they believe that Babel is a movie which will make you feel sick or queasy. Apparently on the April 28th release in Japan, 15 people have felt sick after watching it. The scene in which they feel sick is when a school girl goes into a night club where strobe lights are flashing and it made some viewers a little sick after that.
“This feature presentation includes some highly stimulating effects and some customers have complained of feeling ill,” reads part of the warning, which the distributors have added to their Web site and also requested be displayed on posters at about 300 cinemas.
Personally I think that is just ridiculous. Granted some people may have some difficulties watching a movie with strobe lights in it, heck Irreversible has some huge strobe action, but to put up a warning is just taking it a little far. But if they put it outside 300, someone is gonna get smashed, 300 is one of the coolest movies ever, and is pretty much all gore, so if you are going into an all gore move with a weak stomach, it is your own fault and a warning shouldn’t be in order.
