Well IWatchStuff has released some terrible news. The movie Life Free or Die Hard has recently picked up a PG-13 rating, unknown why to myself but the directors know what they are doing. But according to some Monsters and Critics the favourite catchphrase of Willis, “Yippe-ki-yea, mother fucker” has been cut from the latest film.
Certain people are saying that this is merely a rumour, but how could you have swearing in a PG-13 movie? It just isn’t right. I think this is just ridiculous, maybe Bruce is getting too old and can’t handle the knocks and bumps and swearing, so they put it down to PG-13 and release it straight to DVD. Lord have mercy if there is no Yippe-ki-yea, motherfucker, lord have mercy.
Well SciFi Wire have just been told by Antonio Banderas that they are pushing for a spin off movie to be made about the legendary Shrek character Puss in Boots. I dunno if it would make a good movie or a bad one, but I think they need to use some other more major characters first, such as Donkey.
Shrek the Third producer Aron Warner said he wasn’t sure what the DreamWorks Animation division has in store for Puss. The story is being developed by Jon Zack (Shrek the Third) and David H. Steinberg (American Pie 2), but no director has been named yet. The Puss in Boots film is on the slate for a 2010 release, perhaps around the same time as a fourth Shrek movie.
Sounds like a great laugh to me. Hopefully they can muster a great performance as the Shrek writers are always good. Although they do reckon that it will go straight to DVD like many other spin offs have.
Jennifer Hudson has been rumored to play the sould legend Aretha Franklin in her movie which is about to get underway which is based on Franklin’s life and the lead character is rumored to be the American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson.
According to some reports Aretha Franklin has showed support to Hudson herself, saying that “Jennifer Hudson would be the ideal person to act as me.”
Personally I am with Franklin all the way, Jennifer Hudson played a great role as Effie White in Dreamgirls and I think would also play a great role as Aretha Franklin. Soul Queen could be a great title for the movie.
