Well a little while back a synopsis was floating around the internet about Saw IV. We didn’t manage to pick it up and thankfully it was a fake. But through our friends at /Film we found that Bloody Disgusting has picked up the official plot and some of the cast for the 4th movie in the clan.
Saw IV will star Tobin Bell as Jigsaw, Scott Petterson as Agent Starum. Betsy Russell will be playing the ever fruitful part of Jill (Jigsaw’s Wife), Hoffman will be played by Costas Mandylor. Rigg will be played by Lyriq Bent, Athena Karkanis will play Agent Perez, Art will be played by Justin Louis. Simon Reynolds will be helming the part of Lamanna. Mike Realba will be playing Fisk and last by not least Marty Adams will be playing Ivan.
Not a bad cast, but now for the main event, the plot synopsis. I gotta put this in here, the following does contain spoilers so read if you are certain you will hate this movie or will be dying in the next few weeks / months.
Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry’s murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw’s latest grizzly remains and piecing together the puzzle.
However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.
Well, it sounds like beyond the grave Jigsaw is tormenting souls. Far our when does this guy stop?
Quentin Tarantino is one of my favourite directors. I mean Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction were great movies there is no doubting that. Tarantino as a person is a super geek and represents us out there that have a bit of a nerdy side. So when I got the news that Tarantino would be most likely doing a Kill Bill III and possibly even a IV I was stoked.
We’ll start off with the news of the third installment of Kill Bill. The word going around is Tarantino wants to return to China to shoot them. The third film will revolve around the revenge of two members of the crazy 88 (you know the group Thurman went crazy on? The ones with hoses for arms) on Uma Thurman. Sounds kinda ridiculous but hopefully Tarantino can make it work
The fourth installment of Kill Bill would be a cycle of revenge plots and a bunch of daughters who try to avenge there parents death. City Express quoted Bennett Walsh as saying about the kung fu movie. This also sounds kind of crap but I guess you have to see the third one to even think about comprehending the fourth one.
The director of the Chinese movie Xun Qiang (Missing Gun) Jiang Wen would be most likely to work with Walsh on this movie. Walsh was quoted as saying, “I also want to collaborate with younger directors. I believe there are many outstanding young directors in China who have not been brought into the light”
All in all I am eager to see what Walsh and Tarantino (and possibly Jiang Wen) are going to do with it. There was really no room for a sequel at the end of the second one, but as we all know, if the main character is alive there is room for anything.
Bruce Willis, the face behind the character John McClane in the Die Hard quadrilogy has answered some questions in a virtual press conference that could possibly bring out a new Die Hard. Willis has said he wants to do a Die Hard prequel, which would be extremely hard due to the 52 year old slowly aging away.
Willis was asked by a fan if he would shoot Die Hard 5 in Mexico, when Willis responded that he would be up for a Die Hard 5 but it is an American film and there is a chance he would shoot it in Mexico but would prefer to shoot in the US of A. According to MTV the conference had a lot of irrelevant questions and only a few were good ones.
“I would definitely consider doing a ‘Die Hard 5,’ and I would consider doing it anywhere,” Willis responded to an avatar from Mexico who asked if Willis would shoot it in his country. “I would prefer to shoot in the United States; I think ‘Die Hard’ has always been an American film.”
That same question got Willis talking about Die Hard 5 could’ve been a prequel. The possibility to carry the cop back in time has kind of dissipated due to him getting on age wise. All I hope is they don’t do a Die Hard 5 prequel with another character playing McClane.
here was a time when we discussed doing another ‘Die Hard’ as doing a prequel — kind of John McClane, the early years,” the actor remembered. “But I’ve kind of missed that window now, unless they come up with some type of new technology where they can smooth out these wrinkles — you know, these laugh lines — that I have on my face. But I would do [a prequel] if I could; I think as an actor, it’s just a matter of how I look.
The funniest moment of the press conference was when some guy from Denmark asked if Willis could say Yippee-ki-yay, Denmark. And surprisingly the actor said sure and switched on the audio in second life and blasted it out.
“Uh, yeah,” responded Willis, his real-life voice projecting through the Second Life audio. “Yippee-ki-yay, Denmark, and everybody else out there. And I don’t know if you’re allowed to say this, but Yippee-ki-yay, motherfuckers!”
Evan Almighty, the follow on of Bruce Almighty, has a new clip online. Personally I am a Jim Carrey fanatic so I am a bit biased to the Bruce Almighty movie, but I am not gonna make any opinions as of yet about the clip. Just go watch it down the bottom.
The movie opens on July 22 and it should be good (if it was a total remake of Bruce Almighty it might be too soon, but it ain’t so meh). The movie has picked up the title as the most expensive comedy ever. It topped the scales with a whopping tally of around $250 million, crazy as caramel pie.
Alright enough of me rambling on, here is the clip, watch it and tell me what you think of it

So as we reported earlier this week, Michael Moore’s latest documentary Sicko was leaked onto the internet. Not a good thing by any stretch of the imagination. But now that it is released (an almost perfect copy) on the net, the Weinstein company has decided it is better to get it out there now than later when everyone has scored themselves a free copy.
The Weinstein company is opening the movie to the whole of New York and selected theaters where Moore’s movies have gone well around the US. The critics are eating this movie up and loving every bit of it, RT is giving it a 90% which is damn well awesome.
The second Moore news item is something I like about Moore. He follows up on his movies, he doesn’t sit back eating more food and doing that sort of shit, he gets out there and follow up on what he says in his documentaries. In the case of Sicko he recently held a standing only press conference on how bad the health system is and how some bill could change it all.
Moore says that if they vote yes for a bill to put the whole health system under government care and get rid of health giants trying to maximize profits the health system will be a better place. Which is definitely true, Australia has a public health care system and it is free when we get hurt, unless you go private which the public health care system still look after you.
I wanna see Moore’s film change the US health care system, I wanna see film sway the whole government into changing it’s mind. 2 thumbs up to our fat man Moore and I hope he changes the whole US health system from one powerful movie.
