Well this is more interesting news in the Joker saga. We reported that a website had been created that revealed what the Joker will look like, a lot of Joker fans are speculating that the site was a fan creation and others are saying that Warner Bros. created it themselves (even though the domain has been registered by a third party)

Page Not Found

Well the twist here (and a huge time waste :p) is that between all the Ha ha’s (if you highlight the page) is the words “See you in December” now if this is a fan creation then this means nothing, but if not, then this could be the release of the film. At the moment nobody knows what it is. So it is all speculation at the moment.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Well as we all probably know the Cannes film festival is going right know, a lot of the big name producers, directors and movie studios are heading down there to pick up some good movies and also seeing some preview of movie to come. Well one such movie has been purchased by a Spanish sales consortium Latido films.

The film is a biopic documentary about Arnold Schwarzenegger called Running with Arnold. A few words were said by Variety (who Dan Cox used to write articles for)

A shaded, sometimes jocular, profile of Arnold Schwarzenegger, underscoring his ambition, chutzpah, charm and connections, “Running” is set against his gubernatorial campaign in California. Narrated by Alec Baldwin, it played at the SXSW film fest.

I didn’t mind the documentary Pumping Iron as Schwarzenegger was really outspoken and more like a father figure in that movie. Although I am not sure it is about his bodybuilding days but more about his rise as the Governor of California.

Shrek the Third

On it’s opening weekend Shrek the Third managed to plow home a nice sum of $122 million. It opened in 4,122 cinemas around the US and managed to get an average per-location taking of $29,597. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. It is the third biggest opening in history and the biggest opening for an animated movie.

DreamWorks Animation marketing head Anne Globe said the “Shrek the Third” opening “significantly” outpaced the studio’s expectations. “We’re extremely cautious in an intensely competitive environment,” said Globe of the impending Memorial Day weekend square-off. “But we’re hoping there’s room for all of us.”

According to Nielson we are breaking records every year, since this time last year we have increased the Box Office by 10% and are on track to beat out the summer of 2004 (the biggest summer in box office history) by 15% which will be roughly around the marks of $70 million. Crazy numbers

I Believe in Harvey Dent Too

Just a little while back Warner Bros. released a campaign about the previous Gotham City mayor, Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face. Although that is good and great and we know what Harvey Dent looks like, a new site has been released called IBelieveInHarveyDentToo which shows what the Joker will look like.

I think the idea behind this site is quite superb actually. What you do is enter your email and they send you an email with a confirmation link in it and two co-ordinates. You then input the co-ordinates in the box and it reveals that pixel of covered space. Then it shows everyone’s revealed pixel, after only a few days of this going live the Joker has been revealed.
